Mental Health Awareness

- This website is meant for teens who have been coping with depressed mood. This resource teaches a set of skills that teens can apply to their own life to overcome depression. It is meant to provide teens and concerned adults with accurate information about depression. This online resource is based on and complementary to Dealing with Depression: Antidepresssant Skills for Teens (Bilsker, Gilbert, Worling & Garland, 2005).

- This website offers timely, practical help for young people. Including mental health care, substances use support, primary care services, peer support and additional social services.

- This website delivers high quality health literacy information, research, education and resources. Providing a variety of mediums that include videos, animations, brochures, e-books, face-to-face training programs, and online training programs. Our materials are specifically designed to meet the needs of children, youth, young adults, families, educators, community agencies and health care providers.

- Providing a safe place for teens who need honest and accurate information, this website provides resources on mental health issues. 

-  Provides information for youth from a harm reduction, prevention education perspective.  They focus on sexuality, reproductive health, body image, substance use awareness, mental health, issues of diversity and anti-violence issues. 

- OK2TALK is a community where teens and young adults struggling with mental health conditions can find a safe place to talk about what they’re experiencing by sharing their personal stories of recovery, tragedy, struggle or hope.

- Your Life, Your Voice provides several ways for teens to get connected with someone to discuss any issue that is impacting them in the moment such as feeling depressed, contemplating suicide, being physically or sexually abused, on the run, addicted, threatened by gang violence, fighting with a friend or parent, or if you are faced with an overwhelming challenge. 

- CMHA Calgary's YouthSMART (Youth Supporting Mental Health and Resiliency Together) integrates collaboration, youth-initiated mental health learning opportunities in local junior and senior high schools. Find some amazing resources on stress, mindfulness, and more!
