Dr. Adele Buckley

Graduated – 1954

Dr. Adele Buckley is Vice-President Technology and Research at the Ontario Centre for Environmental Technology Advancement (OCETA).  She was responsible for product development for the Mobile TAGA System, the TAGA tandem Quadrupole, and AROMIC Cargo Examination System.

Dr. Sean Ferguson

Graduated – 1980
Inducted – 2004

Dr. Sean Ferguson has composed a great many contemporary classical works for orchestras, bands, choirs, chamber ensembles, opera companies, dance companies, soloists, computers, and various combinations thereof.  Dr. Ferguson is a musical pioneer.  Dr. Ferguson is currently the Director of the Electronic Music Studio for the Faculty of Music at Magill University.

Lieutenant-General G.E.C. Macdonald

Graduated – 1966
Inducted – 2004

Lieutenant-General George Macdonald graduated in 1966 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004. Lieutenant General George Macdonald was the Vice Chief of the Defense Staff, National Defense Headquarters, Ottawa, from September 2001 until his retirement in September 2004. He spent several years as a fighter pilot. 


  • Joined Royal Canadian Air Force 1966
  • B.Sc., Mechanical Engineering, University of Calgary
  • Fighter pilot and promotion to Lieutenant-Colonel, Commanding Officer 434 Squadron
  • Commander of DFB Lahr and 3 Fighter Wing in West Germany
  • Promotion to Brigadier-General and posted to NATO
  • 1992 returned to Ottawa as Director General Aerospace Development
  • A number of senior assignments and subsequent promotion to Lieutenant-General then becoming Deputy Commander-in-Chief, North American Aerospace Defense Command in Colorado Springs
  • Vice Chief of the Defense Staff, National Defense Headquarters-Ottawa from 2001 until retirement in September 2004
