Growing up in a small town in Northern Alberta, my teachers coached, motivated and inspired me always to be respectful, work hard towards a goal and be resilient when facing challenges. As an educator, I try to instill those same attributes in the students with who I work.

I have always been passionate about education and have taught Physical Education, Mathematics and Technology while coaching Volleyball, Basketball, Cross country running and Track and field.

My latest endeavour involves receiving my Professional Mountain Bike Instructor qualification and instructing mountain biking.

I have worked as Vice-Principal at Eastview Middle School, Hunting Hills High School and École Lindsay Thurber High School. In 2014 I worked as a Learning Coordinator for the Red Deer Public School Â鶹ÍøÕ¾Áбí central office before becoming the Principal at Hunting Hills High School.

I have been a teacher and administrator for over 25 years. I believe students should be encouraged to excel in the arts, athletics, technologies, and various activities. My experience has made it abundantly clear that ALL students can learn and be successful. Our job is to provide opportunity and optimal instruction to motivate and inspire them to be their best versions.
