Learn MoreWe are the only Spanish Bilingual program in the City of Red Deer. Our program is part of the International Spanish Academy.
Our Spanish Bilingual Program started in 2012 with our first Kindergarten students. Currently, we are Kindergarten to Grade 8 with a school population of 246 students.
The Spanish Bilingual Program provides students the opportunity to acquire the skills for speaking, reading, writing, listening and communicating in both English and Spanish at a young age.
English and Spanish are used as the languages of instruction, beginning in Kindergarten or Grade 1 and continuing to Grade 8 in our school.
We have a dedicated staff representing many Spanish countries, and we are known for celebrating cultures and diversity.
We believe in developing a strong rapport with our students and families and offering many wrap-around programs and services that educate the whole child.
In addition to the curriculum, we also have school wide programs such as our Character Education program, which teaches students the 6 virtues that are foundational to good citizenship - responsible, collaborative, resilient, healthy, respectful and curious . We also offer the Zones of Regulation Program which helps students recognize and understand feelings and emotions and empowers them to find their own self-regulation tools.
Feel free to give us a call to come see us in action and to learn more about the benefits of our Spanish Bilingual Program!
