Amanda’s career has spanned twenty-five years and has included teaching time with Chinook's Edge School Â鶹ÍøÕ¾Áбí as well as the Edmonton Public School Board here in Alberta. She is a values-based servant leader with experience as both a vice principal and principal at a rigorous Alberta-accredited, International Baccalaureate international school in Macao where she lived with her family for thirteen years. She has experience leading diverse culturally responsive teams and is passionate about deep collaborative practices, language acquisition, empowering student leaders, and striving for excellence. 

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree, a Bachelor of Education degree, and a Masters in Educational Leadership. Her qualifications include Alberta and Ontario principal certifications, an International Leadership and Management certificate, multiple International Baccalaureate certificates, including IB for administrators training, and leadership and literacy coaching training from Columbia University. She is a certified executive coach, positive psychology practitioner, and cultural values facilitator who is always looking for the next thing to learn.

Amanda is looking forward to leading the Normandeau family and continuing to “Make Kindness the NORM” this year.
