How to Become a Homestay Parent
Would you like to become a Red Deer Host Family for an international student?
Â鶹ÍøÕ¾Áбí needs host families for International Students for:
- Semester One (September - January)
- Semester Two (January -June)
- School year (September - June)
- Short term respite placements
- Note the 22/23 rate will be $800 per month.
For more information on hosting an international student, download our detailed
Host Families are required to complete the following steps:
- complete the online Host Family Application
- provide an Intervention Record Check for each adult in the household from the Provincial Department of Child Welfare
- provide a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check for each adult in the household from the local police
