Associated Students of Dominican University (ASDU) has launched a new and exciting “First 6” fall events schedule filled with friendly fun and community engagement.

Already ASDU has hosted “Rise and Grind” and “Movie Night” during the first week of the 2019-20 academic year followed by an “Involvement Fair” and “Meet The Board” in Week 2 and an “IOC Social” and “Pool Party” in Week 3.

The second half of “First 6” begins Friday, September 27, with a bus trip to a San Francisco Giants-Los Angeles Dodgers game at Oracle Park.

Tickets to the Giants-Dodgers game – which include free transportation from the Conlan Center parking lot to the ballpark and back – are $15. A $5 deposit was required when signing up for the baseball game trip during an advance sale held on Caleruega Dining Hall Plaza from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Sept. 16-19.

The remaining $10 is due before September 23. DUC students are allowed to purchase two tickets, including one for a classmate/friend, provided valid University I.D.s are presented at time of purchase.

On game day, the bus will depart the Conlan Center parking lot at 5:30 p.m. to arrive in time for start of game at 7:15 p.m.

The fifth event in ASDU’s “First 6” will be the “Pop Up,” Dominican’s second annual block party on Anne Hathaway lawn from 1-6 p.m. on Oct. 4.

The “Pop Up” will showcase students' art and music and include free food, games, raffles, and crafts. The event is free and no pre-registration is necessary.
