The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is a community of adults, who believe in lifelong learning, engagement and exploration. While OLLI's not-for-credit courses and workshops are designed for adults 50 and older, there is no age limit on membership, so if you find our programs attractive, we encourage you to apply! Our courses cover a wide range of topics, including art history, film, history, politics and economics, literature and language, and science. There are no mandatory exams, assignment or grades. We invite you to continue your journey of lifelong learning through our courses, lectures, and clubs.

Our fall program starts very soon! We have a really strong lineup of in-person and online courses starting in September. We are offering a range of topics including art, astronomy, folk/rock music, history, science, politics and current events. 4-week courses are $80 each and new members receive a 20% discount! Take unlimited courses this fall for $325 or unlimited courses in both the fall and spring for $795. "Special Lecture: The Bay Area Figurative Movement"

Join us on campus for a special guest presentation by Dr. Wood Lockhart exploring the history and impact of the Bay Area Figurative Movement in art. This is a one-time, standalone lecture, and registration is required.

*The cost of the lecture is $25, and you may bring a guest along for free.

Between 1950 and 1965 the Bay Area Figurative movement, which grew out of and in reaction to Abstract Expressionism, was a local phenomenon which is recognized today as making an important contribution to the history of modern American art. It is a subject which is a particular passion of Wood's, and one which he thinks will be of particular interest to OLLI members and art lovers.
